As a prime provider of funded training across the Northeast and Tees Valley we have been working with Middlesbrough based EMR (formerly Cupral) following there buy out in 2024 . Specialising in producing recycled copper and aluminium. UCQ supported \u00a0to develop their business into a well-established group. Focusing training on key areas such as Performance Manufacturing Operations and Business Improvement Techniques to support the transition and growth needed for those existing but also new staff members. Following the Business Improvement Techniques here are some of the changes that were made to improve elements of the production and processes including waste boxes for wood for recycling, implementation of a communication dispatch area, shadow boards, housekeeping rotas and accountability for training. All of these areas have supported the transition, increased production and support for the teams. University Centre quayside offer a range of programmes to support businesses in sectors such as Advanced Manufacturing, Digital Skills, Green Power and Green Transport. UCQ also offer a range of leadership and management qualifications from Level 3 to level 7.<\/p>\n
