Middlesbrough-based hydraulic engineering firm, Industrial and Marine Hydraulics (IMH), has completed a major site move with the purchase of new premises, tripling its operational space.<\/p>\n
The move aligns with the company\u2019s commitment to nurturing the next generation of engineering talent and investing in people to compete on the world stage.<\/p>\n
IMH\u2019s new facility is located on Skippers Lane Industrial Estate, on the edge of the new Teesworks site, and it boasts 22,000 sq ft of space.<\/p>\n
The site will enable the company to secure larger and more complex projects while maintaining its essential service work, including hydraulic system outages and the expansion of its hire fleet operations.<\/p>\n
Boasting overhead crane and lifting capabilities, capable of lifting up to 12 tonnes the facility will enable IMH to manage larger prefabrication projects in-house. This will reduce costs for clients and streamline operations, offering a more efficient service that benefits both customers and the business. Also on site are extensive workshop areas and a modern office space.<\/p>\n
IMH has been preparing for this expansion over the last 18 months by strengthening its workforce and nurturing new talent through a series of key appointments and internal promotions.<\/p>\n

The Skippers Lane facility is part of IMH\u2019s ongoing drive to take on larger projects while continuing to deliver component supplies and exceptional service work, including its hire fleet operations.<\/p>\n
The company is also celebrating following its founder, Paul Griffiths MBE, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at The Tees Business Awards 2025 for his work in both supporting the IMH team and the Teesside community.<\/p>\n
