Industries have always used the best preservative and application process available, which had been creosote pressure treating, but when looking at the end of the pole you can see the preservative still never fully protected the pole. Poleguard resolves this issue by first having a complete covering of primer to the desired area, which provides the first protective barrier to the environment, as well as the perfect adhesive surface for the exterior, 100% waterproof, high abrasiion and impact resistant coating.<\/p>\n

Even poles with deep fissures and cracks are no problem, as Poleguard penetrates all areas to ensure everywhere is completely covered. So you can relax in the knowledge that your assets are fully protected where Poleguard is applied.<\/p>\n

Why is Poleguard Needed?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

All fenceposts, signposts, fencing rails and more, all suffer the same fate. They all rot or rust near ground level and require protection using preservatives or barriers such as paint. If you are a council that has to pay for fencing near the seafront, then the whole fence is under attack and painting becomes a regular and expensive occurence. Regardless of the location or purpose, in all instances, replacement and maintenance is going to be very costly to you.<\/p>\n

Depending on location there are other things that can cause damage. In heavy footfall areas posts can be vandalised and paint can be scratched off, dog urine can damage the base and when situated by roads, stones can chip the paint, causing water ingress and the process of degrading and destroying your key assets.<\/p>\n

How does Poleguard achieve this?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Simply put, rust and rot occur when water, oxygen and \/ or bacteria are all present. By preventing either of these (particularly water), rust and rot won\u2019t occur. By creating a strong and completely waterproof sealed coating, Poleguard prevents damage from happening in the first place.<\/p>\n

To confirm the capabilities of Poleguard, a test was constructed to mimic signposts by the roadside, being hit by small stones. A standard painted steel post was left 50% painted, and 50% coated with Poleguard. The pole then had small stones thrown at high velocity from a rotating drum to see what damage was caused. Once this was complete, the post was then placed in an accelerated weather testing chamber. The results presented in the picture below, clearly show the painted section rusting where the paint has chipped after being damaged by the stones.<\/p>\n

Poleguard\u2019s coating is completely undamaged, maintains its 100% waterproof status and apart from rust run off, still looks new.<\/strong><\/p>\n
